I'm really excited for our annual meeting this Sunday! For the first time, our church family will worship and meet together at the same time. This fits with how we see our times together, and what we believe about worship.
Worship isn’t just what we do on Sunday mornings—it’s our whole shared life, giving everything we are to make God known. So then why do we meet every week? To practice living a life of worship.
As we combine our annual meeting with worship, we’ll explore this idea even more. We’ll be reminded that God created us for community and that our job as a church is to point to Jesus. Our whole life together is worship!

Story for Chaplaincy
From your Community Chaplain: Hearts Exchanged
In partnership with The Presbyterian Church in Canada and the Christian Reformed Church in Canada, our learning group is entering into month five of the eight session journey, and have gained so much valuable insight to this point.
We are excited to share that Adrian Jakobs (National Directory of Indigenous Ministries & co-creator of Hearts Exchanged) will be joining us on Sunday March 16th to speak.
Sermon Title: Heavenly Visions and Earthly Sacrifices: The Story of Indigenous Missions.
Adrian writes: The Gospel from the Middle East came to Turtle Island 532 years ago. God was here from the beginning of creation. Jesus said, “"And other sheep I have which are not of this fold; them also I must bring, and they will hear My voice; and there will be one flock and one shepherd" (John 10:16). Today’s sermon will sketch the broad history of this work of Christ to make one flock in Turtle Island.
This work is made possible by the generous support of St. Andrews Presbyterian, Nanaimo, The Presbytery of Vancouver Island and The Presbyterian Church in Canada. To offer a financial gift, please go to standrewsnanaimo.ca/give.
Mission Moment: March 2nd 2025
Josseling, an extroverted and enthusiastic 16-year-old, is committed and eager to get ahead. Beginning at 5 a.m., she and her mother have a stall selling fruits and vegetables at the Roberto Huembes Market in Nicaragua. Josseling attended entrepreneurship workshops run by PWS&D’s partner, which helped her establish her successful market stall. One of Josseling’s key principles is that “no one can leave the stand without buying,” so she carefully considers her customers’ budgets, asks about their specific needs, and adjusts the ingredients accordingly. This way, they can afford their purchases and will likely return to her for their next market visit. In addition to her market job, Josseling attends school, where she is currently a senior and dreams of becoming a doctor.
