From the Pastor’s Desk
The leaves have started changing, and the nights are getting longer. Halloween decorations are going up, and the gory and scary are being displayed. Gardens are being cleaned up, and harvests taken from the fields. In this land of plenty, even while difficulties and dark voices surround us, giving thanks lifts our eyes up to see where God is at work, and how God is with us.
That’s what we’ll be doing in worship this week. Thanks to a dedicated crew, the sanctuary will be decorated and we’ll practice giving thanks together. We are especially grateful that many from Christ Community Church will be worshiping with us! Together, we’ll discover the great God, and great things God has for his people.
We’ll look at Deuteronomy 5:1-21; 6:4-9 (click here to read it) and reflect on how God’s work and invitation are revealed in his law, and gratitude helps us discover these.
I’m looking forward to worshiping with you,
Pastor Jeremy

Mission Moment: October 8th
In the book of Acts, the disciples traveled far and wide to share the good news of Christ. The Rural and Remote Ministry Fund offers seminary students the opportunity to gain practical ministry experience in rural communities across the country. This summer, Nehemia Neuhisa and Howard Tuwaidan, both seminary students, served as student ministers for the Synod of Saskatchewan. Through the experience, Nehemia and Howard were able to lead worship at 10 different congregations, support Vacation Bible School programs, serve as chaplains at Camp Christopher, and volunteer at Saskatoon Native Circle Ministry. Like the early disciples, their commitment to mission and outreach was a blessing to many.
