For many years, St. Andrew's PWA hosted a pancake lunch, last year it became a Pancake Supper as a family event. The tradition dates back to medieval England where homes feasted to use up supplies of eggs, milk and sugar before Lent begins on Ash Wednesday, the 40-day period of fasting and reflection leading up to Easter.
